# Prediction Markets Celebrate Uncanny Accuracy As Traders Continue Knowing Things Before They Happen

NEW YORK - Prediction-market operators celebrated another major validation of their forecasting technology Friday after a growing number of traders demonstrated the platforms' uncanny ability to predict events they may already have known were going to happen.

Kalshi had investigated more than 400 suspicious trades since the start of the year, while Polymarket had also seen an increase in flagged activity as volumes surged across both platforms.

"Our markets aggregate information better than polls, surveys or pundits," said a prediction-market executive. "Occasionally the information being aggregated is that a guy in the room where the decision is being made has an iPhone."

Compliance teams said distinguishing brilliant forecasting from insider trading can be difficult because the ideal prediction-market participant is, by definition, someone who knows what will happen before everyone else.

Investigators are now reviewing several accounts with suspiciously perfect records, including one wallet that accurately predicted 43 political decisions, six mergers, three papal announcements and Tuesday's lunch special at a restaurant that had not opened yet.

Federal authorities have not ruled out time travel, though a CFTC spokesperson said jurisdiction over traders arriving from the future may depend on whether their DeLorean is classified as a swap execution facility.

One mysterious user known only as "ThursdayGuy2087" denied wrongdoing and advised regulators to sell oil before 2:15 p.m. next Wednesday.

The contract on whether he is an insider immediately jumped to 97 cents.
